My oven does not ignite for a long time after the ceramic igniter turns orange and some times after reaching the set temp the burner does not come back on. The temp varies greatlly- if set the actual oven temp varies from 250-400. Is it the igniter, the sensor or?

Just because your oven ignitor glows hot it may not be pulling enough amps to open your gas valve ... This indicates your ignitor is weak and should be replaced.

REplaced the igniter and the oven works just fine. Takes about 40 seconds from when the oven temp is set till the gas burner is lit. Thanks
