I have an all in one piece Tappan Gas Double Oven with Gas range circa early 80s. The bottom oven does not seem to get hot enough. The top oven (small - 1 rack) works okay, but runs a bit high and heats a bit unevenly though. The gas range works fine.

Ideally, I don't want to replace until I am ready to redo the kitchen and know what type of oven & range along with layout I want. Is there anything I can do to fix the bottom oven that does not require a significant investment?

Thanks!

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the range. You can find it under the top stove panel.
