GE Washer approx 3 yrs old will not stop filling when setting the load size, the tub keeps filling with water, The only way to stop the water from filling is to push in the Control Knob. Also the machine will not start the wash cycle no matter where Control knob is set. It will drain and spin but that's all it will do. Please Help. Laundry is piling up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

Take the front off the washer and look on the lower part of the tub at the bottom left. There is a tub connected to the tub. Remove it and see if that tube is clogged. Usually it clogs near the end so it should be easy to repair. If that tube isn’t clogged the water level control may be bad. Hope this helps! Clothes Washer Repair Guide
