I bought a new defrost heater on ********, it did not come w/ instructions. It has 2 heater coils & brackets, & there was only 1 originally. Where does the additional coil & bracket mount?

For a while GE was putting single heaters on all refrigerators now they have gone back to the double heaters even on the newer refrigerators because of the failure rates of the single heaters. There should be a place in the middle of the coil to mount the second heater. You will have to find screws to mount it but it mounts the same as the original heater at the bottom. Excellent, thank you for the quick response! I defrosted it manually last week, & it it still refrigerating very well, at the first sign of it freezing up again I will open it back up & install the new heaters. Thanks again!
