Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer. My GE model GSS25LGPACC refrigerator still has the freezer coils totally frosted after I replaced both the defrost heater and defrost thermostat.
I have basic multimeter testing skills, next step will be to test the motherboard. Can you tell me--if the board tests bad, is it absolutely necessary to replace the evaporator fan motor (read that in another thread) AND both freezer thermisters (one of which is hard wired into the fan motor) or can/should those be tested individually first?

Thank you for the response--I neglected to put the brand info and age in the post my error:o . The fridge is a GE manufactured in 2003---6 years old.

I dont see any reason to replace the evap. fan motor as long as its working ... I seen where a defrost will function but with an evap. fan being bad the evap. still iced up like there was a defrost problem... I would say if the fan works dont replace it.
