We have this side by side GE. Profile/Artica stainless fridge, water and ice on the front, everything is hooked up correctly, the water works to the front of the fridge, we tuned the switch on has power/green light is on, the ice maker doesn't fill with water doesn't make any noise??? Any Ideas? Before we buy a whole new ice maker...Thank-you Cyndi

Might be the valve feeding the icemaker... the valve is split and 1/2 feeds the ice maker and the other feeds the water dispenser. Need to check that the valve is also getting power to it when there is a demand for water in the icemaker. I had a similar problem with mine and the coil was too weak in the valve on the icemaker side to open it for water delivery.

This entire ice maker was pulled out and tried to un freeze the little motor, it doesn't seem to want to turn inside there. Thought maybe we would just purchase a whole new ice maker. Thanks for the insight on the filler tube, could also be the problem but a new machine will fix both problems Right??

The new icemaker wont fix the valve if it is bad... the valve is located in the lower back of the fridge by the compressor. Not sure which motor you are referring to on the icemaker that isnt working but that may be your problem and solve your ice woes. Good luck......... badluck.
