my dryer buzzes very loudly when tumbling Could this be a belt or bearing? Without actually being there I cannot tell but I doubt that it is either. Usually buzzing is: 1. the motor, but usually the motor will not start when this occurs 2. perhaps something has gone weird and the end of cycle buzzer is buzzing. If the unit has one it will be in the control console 3. Could be something rubbing and sounding like a buzz instead of a scraping. Most common would be something stuck between the drum and the frame. The wires from under wire bras are famous for this. Run your fingers around the edge to see if you can feel anything. Another spot is that something is in the blower wheel
All I can suggest is that you try to carefully listen so you can localize the noise. I cannot find any info on the given Model Number, please check it. Frigidaire's usually start with an F.
is this a DIY? Anything on a dryer is fixable by a DIYer |
