Just changed the water filter in my ice machine and turned it back on for the first time in a year or two. Flushed the water line and the water is crystal clear. I get white floaties however in the ice when I melt it and look at it closely. Is the ejector misaligned to the stripper and shearing the plastic finger on the ejector; or? These are difinitely white flakes only. Does the ice maker have to flush through several cube cyles after filter change?

Sometimes I will see the paint in the ice-mold flake off remove the icemaker and look in the molds and see if this is happing. If so replace the icemaker because drinking paint chips can’t be good! :D
