My Kenmore microwave light bulbs(on the underside, shining down on the range)burned out. My book lists 30 watt bulb part # 4393681. I am told everywhere that this has been replaced by the manufacturer with #8206443. My book says(and I can see)that my current bulb has a candelabra base, and no threads. It just pushes in. The replacement is I believe 40 watts, but main problem is it has threads on the base. How can that possibly work? I am having great difficulty getting bulbs out of socket also.

According to the information provided by Sears the part number for the surface light bulb has been changed from 4393681 to 8206443, which is a regular 40 Watts appliance light bulb. There is no information and part numbers for a light bulb socket which has probably to be replaced as well.
Do not forget to unplug the microwave before working with the lights to prevent possible damage to the control board.
Gene.
