The wash and rise cycles work properly. At the end of the rinse cycle and the beging of the final Spin cycle the motor starts making a clicking noise as though a magnetic contactor opens and close and causes the motor to speed up and slow down for about a minute. After a minute the motor engages and starts to work normal and spins with no problems.
I disasembled the washer to inspected the Pump, and found it to be in good working order. Then I removed the motor and the Gearcase. Inspected the gearcase, the clutch and and the brake shoes and did not find any problems.
I finally jumpered the lid switch, connected the motor to the elec. harness but did not install it to to the gearcase, and set it to the side. I set the timer to the begining of the final spin cycle, and the motor started to do the same clicking noise, it would speed up and slow down for about a minute until it finally engaged and started working normal.
At this point I do not believe it is a mechanical problem, but an electrical issue. Could it be that the motor, or motor switch or the timer is bad?
Please help........

Since it spins after the wash cycle that would indicate it is not a motor problem. It comes down to a timer issue or a motor switch issue and because it spins ok after the wash cycle I am leaning towards a timer issue, but I cannot say I am in love with that idea.
Sorry not to be more definitive but this is one of those problems you really need to be there to diagnose properly, and well, unfortunately we are not.

I replaced timer, and the new timer corrected the problem. Washer is back to normal. Thank you.
