Washer won't drain during spin cycle. Water Pump Belt discovered on floor

Our washer seems to be operating normally, goes through all cycles including spin, but it doesn't drain. When we looked under the washer, we found the water pump belt on the floor.
Our first plan is to put the belt back on. How do we tighten it?
Thank you!

sandydjdm If the belt came off it could be a bad belt or a stuck pump. The first thing I would do is remove the front panel. Remove two screws from each side of the front panel (on the bottom). Grab the front panel with both hands from the bottom and pull it up for about 45 degrees to release the clips on top of the panel. Lift up the front of the washer and insert a 4x4 piece of wood under the front leg (or something else) so you can work under the washer. Unplug the power cord. Check if the pump pulley is moving freely. If it's moving hard then replace the pump. The part number for the new pump is AP243467 If the pump is fine then just replace the belt and it should solve the problem. I would recommend to replace both belts at the same time. If you buy them as a set you will save money. The part number for the pump belt only is AP247467 and the part number for the set of two belts is AP2660760. The belts tension is self adjustable by the springs on the motor. When you'll put the belt on, just push the motor inward. - Here are the breakdown diagrams for the Maytag washer Model LAT9457BAEGood luck. Gene.
