I could use some advice to help me fix this problem. My oven does not get warm, the gas burners work fine. This happened after a self clean cycle. The fault code is F1 and I found the part that it says is/maybe broken (the ERC) AP3503364. My only concern is that if I buy the part and it's something else I won't be able to return this part (120.00). I looked under some other posts on here and am wondering if maybe something burned out instead like an igintor?. Any advice would be appriciated. I am planning on fixing this myself (with some help of course). Thanks, Nicole

Hi Nicole, The cause of the "F1" error code could be a failed transistor in the control board (ERC) or a stuck key in the key pad. There is no separate key pad in your range and the only solution is to replace the ERC. Here are the break down diagrams for the GE range Model JGR8750ADWGene.

Thanks Gene! I purchased the ERC and replaced it today and as soon as I plugged in the range I got the same F1 code. I can't believe it! . Is there something I maybe missed or need to reset? Thanks, Nicole

Hi Nicole, In such situation it could be two things and both of them are very rare. Measure the oven sensor resistance at the ERC plug. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature. If the reading is wrong - measure the sensor resistance at the oven sensor connection to the wire harness (where the sensor wires coming through the oven back wall). Also check if the connection is charred. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is wrong or the connection is charred. If there is nothing wrong then the new ERC is defective. In such case call the customer service for the warranty exchange. - The part number for the oven sensor is AP204835 Gene.
