I am getting no voltage to the bake element, the light comes on and I can hear the relay click but the bake element does not heat up, I checked the connections and where the leads connect to the element I get no voltage at all. I am getting voltage to the broil element on both settings broil and bake, does this mean that the relay is stuck for the broil element and is there a test procedure I can run before purchasing a new board?

I believe you have already checked it. When a unit is in preheat for the bake cycle usually both the bake and broil elements are on. This preheats the oven faster. I went to the GE site and looked at the operators manual for this unit unforetunately I coild not confirm the above so am not 100% sure.
It sounds like the bake relay is either not energizing or it's contacts are shot. |
