My Maytag top-load washer burnt a belt. I replaced it, and it worked fine for a few loads and quit. I took the service panel off and turned it on to see water dripping during the spin cycle, so I replaced the triple lip seal and the belt for the second time. Put it back together to find that it runs fine up until the spin cycle. It starts to spin for about 30-55 seconds and kicks off(whether the motor is warm or cold). Please HELP.

If the motor runs but the transmission will not allow the machine to spin then I suspect some water go into the transmission during your leak phase.

If the motor does not run, check the wiring to see if someting is frayed or broken.

Good luck, hope this helps.

motor spins tub & transmision just fine. Thats the weird thing about it. I talked to a friend of mine who said it might be the unbalance sensor, but can't seem to find one on it.

I do not think you have an unbalanced switch on this model. You may have a bad connection so I would take off the motor connector and clean it very good with contact cleaner.

Here is the service manual which may help you do some more troubleshooting.
