My refrigerator is not cooling neither is the freezer. I checked the start device and it looks and sounds fine. When you reset the unit from the control panel, the copper lines in the back start to get cold for maybe the first few seconds then they just go back to room temperature. The ones that are supposed to get hot do get hot. The fan is blowing fine inside and out. The air inside is not hot but it's not cold either. What could this be?

Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator is covered with snow.
Post the result.

Gene. Gene, Thank you for replying! I checked behind the rear panel and nothing is going on there at all. The coil outside of the fridge is staying at room temperature. And the lines that are supposed to get hot are not getting hot enough. I was told they should be so hot that I would not be able to touch them and keep my hand on it. I am able to keep my hand on them.

If the compressor is running, but the evaporator coil (inside the freezer) is clean then there is a problem with the sealed system. It can be a bad compressor or a restriction in the system. Check the manufacturer warranty. Sometimes the sealed system is covered for up to five years.
