About 1/4 of the rear drum seal came loose, so I cut that section out. Can the machine be used this way? Can that section just be glued back in? Does the drum have to be removed to replace the seal? Thanks!

If the machine does not make any unusual noise I would say go for it.

If you decide to repair it you will need to remove the drum, which is pretty easy. Take out the two screws that are inside the lint filter door and you can use a screw drive to insert in the front gap and pop up the top. You can then take off the front and the drum will come out.

Thanks! The seal isn't very expensive, so I guess I'll order it & do the R&R, which doesn't sound too involved.
