front load fridgidaire washer will start then stop filling. will not spin at all

See if you can put the machine in trouble shooting mode and get an error code

It almost sounds the door latch is not catching properly. Throw it in a spin only cycle, and see if it will spin. If it does, that will say the latch is fine, and take it out of the equation. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
