sdie by side freezer, Icemacker ont getting water due to the fill tube freezing. what would cause this?:confused:

I think I might have found what I needed on another thread.:D If anyone has another solution plese post thanks.:)




this might be the answer:
Most likely the problem is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator.

- The part number for the water inlet valve is AP3160649

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model GD25DFXFB01

If your ice cubes where "normal" size before, it's not your water solenoid, it's due to the freezer temperature too cold.
If below zero, either the controls are set wrong, or you have clogged condenser coils.
