My refrigerator stopped cooling. The cooling system, including the fan keep booting up every 2 seconds, without success. It seems to have a bad capacitor per internet.? Since this is 2006 product, was capacitor placed in the compressor control board asm?
Please help. Thanks

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GC5SHEXNB03 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet and a manual.
Note the manual is for a unit which should be close to youurs.

You will see that your unit uses an inverter for the compressor.
The manual gives an explanation of how this works and how to check it.
This may be a job for a pro if you have no experience with electronics/electrical.

It must be it. The booting-up noise came from the inverter. You are a real pro! I will give a try. Thanks.
