Hi there, I have a two-year old Maytag MEW5530DDW oven, and it seems like random buttons on the control panel have failed (i.e. pressing on "bake", "broil" and "oven light" does nothing - yet somehow I get a response for "keep warm", "clean", etc...). I was told (granted, over the phone) by a repairman that I needed a new control panel, and he quoted me a price of CAD$265 (~US$210) for the panel, plus labour. Has anyone else had this problem? If indeed my only option is to replace the controller, can anyone suggest a place to order it from that would be cheaper?? Thanks!!

Here's a parts breakdown much like your unit although not the exact same model number ttp://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=46828

The part number for the control board is AP3467952 (Control, h1 (clock/n)
from this site
The keypad is part number AP3464230 (Panel, control (wht))

I would check the keypad itself first. But if needed you can get both parts from here for a little more than he stated for replacing the control board.

Have the control panel not working, some of the buttons function, but still not operational..
Trying to decide if its the keypad control or the board itself? Any ideas?
thanks, Scott

Scott,

Open the control panel, remove the control panel ribbon cable from the control board and check the tracks in the ribbon cable for a hairline cracks. A magnifying glass might help.

More likely the problem is a bad control panel, but there is a small chance for the control board to be bad as well.

- The control board Part number: AP4097369
Part number: AP4097369

- The control panel Part number: AP4424899
