Sears repair says $540.00 for a new control panel installed (part #3384563). I didn't even pay that much for the dishwasher!! I can get the part for under $100.00 here. How difficult is it to install, should I even attempt it? Thanks so very much.

I took the control panel off just to see what it would entail to replace it. I blew on it, wiggled a few connections, put it back together and IT WORKS FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On ribbon keypad connectors and sockets, I use a non residue cleaning spray and a little wiggling of the pins to get them to make a good connection.
