5 year old side by side GE GSS201E. Whistling noise from freezer side, whether door is open or closed. Noise rises and falls constantly when compressor is running. Turning ice maker off does not help. Sealing the dispenser hold doesn't help. Ice also forms around the dispenser area.

How the fan in the freezer works?

Pull the refrigerator out of the wall and check if the noise is coming from the control board compartment (#801 on the diagram).
