I found 3 quarters in my coin trap. The pump makes a grinding noise and won't drain the tub. Is my pump toast?

Possibly,
But first I would want to pull the hoses off of the pump to see
if something is stuck in the impeller.

Thanks Glen, I completely removed the pump and couldn't find anything lodged in the impeller at all. I will replace the pump and hope for the best!

Without putting water in the washer just disconnect
the power leads from the pump and run the washer on spin cycle.
If the sound is gone then you know what to get.
If not then you need to keep looking.
