Freezer not working. Can hear fan running but not "kicking in". Top front sides of freezer get HOT-have unplugged it.
Coils had got overloaded with bird feathers and dog hair. Too many pets.
Any suggestions?

Freezer not working. Can hear fan running but not "kicking in". Top front sides of freezer get HOT-have unplugged it. Not sure what the above means. I cannot find any info ion the above unit so the following is just general info. If the condenser coils do not cool correctly you will get heat on parts of the units frame. Clean the coils. I remove the rear cover and the kick plate, wheel it to an open door and blow it out with a compressor. I have been told a leaf blower also does a good job. This may not be possible for you so a long brush and a vacuum will do a decent job. Check to be sure that the compressor fan is running correctly. Here is a good site with basic fridge repair info http://www.applianceaid.com/refrigerator.htmlSee Item 20 |
