My Kitchen Aid diswasher has recently started to run for long periods of time (sometimes 2+ hours). I assume that the timer is burnt and need to know what is the appropriate part to purchase to rectify this problem. I am assuming that it is the control module that needs replacement? Please advise.
Thanks...

Odds are that the board itself is OK.
Run the diagnostics.
Could be a problem with the water temperature/heater and the unit is waiting for the water to come up to temp. Check that the input water is at 120F.
Check that the heater, hi-limit thermostat and thermistor are OK.
May also be a problem with the soil sense and it is adding time to the wash.
