I have an older Roper machine with a manual timer dial and my tenants are noting that it's really hard to turn. I'm assuming that it needs to be lubricated or replaced. Anyone know how to lube the dial?

From what I've seen on prices (whole timer unit is $70 for some units??) I'm probably better off replacing the entire unit as it's pretty old. I don't have the model number but I can get it. Looks like I can get a used one on craigslist for around $100 or less.
