Timer not working, dryer not stopping in all modes. It heats but does not cool down. I know that if thermostat does not work it will not advance the timer. Housewife has husband's Sears autorangin multimeter - not sure how to test thermostat or even if I need to do this. Any information would be appreciated.
The door switch is working.

I am assuming that the motor works and the drum turns.

The likely solution is to replace the timer.
