Water is dripping down the front door of the freezer side. Water is coming from the icemaker, dripping through the chute, into the well and leaks down to drip on the door. Can anyone advise me of a way to correct this without an expensive house call? Or can you tell me what's wrong? This is the first time I've ever had a refrigerator go bad on me and I've kept them for 12 years or more. Quality is a thing of the past.
Thank you for any help/advice you can offer.

Water can not come straight from the ice maker into the ice chute because if the ice bin under the ice maker.
Did the ice cubes in the ice bin melt?
What is the exact temperature in the freezer?
Does the ice door in the dispenser is completely closed?
Gene.

Thanks for your response. The ice cubes are not melted, the temperature is 5 degrees and everything seems to be in the proper alignment and closed. I turned the icemaker off but water is still dripping through the chute and behind it as well. It just occurred to me that maybe it's from the hose that dispenses water at the door. The water comes through the chute to fill the glass. I'm stumped.

If water is dripping from the water dispenser tube then the problem most likely is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3192626

Thanks Gene. I'll show this to my husband. He's pretty handy, but this may be something we'll have to have a technician repair.

It is not too difficult and he probably can do it, especially with your support. Keep us posted.
