Each time I try to preheat the oven it beeps and says "probe error" and a few seconds later it turns off. Any idea what causes that and what is a fix?

The temperature sensor (probe) in the oven shown the error message has to be replaced.

- The part number for the temperature sensor is AP3195429

Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch oven Model HBL765 AUC (FD 8207-)

Temperature probe AP3195429 seems to be a part of the oven and my oven is ok. "Probe error" I experience comes from the meat probe AP3194240 during oven preheating for convection roasting with a probe. I am looking for possible root causes of that error. My meat probe is new (never used before) and I assume is not demaged. So, any idea what might cause that error?

Ok, same thing happened to me. So,I plugged probe in all the way. Would not give temperture or could not set temperture on probe. I solved problem by pulling the jack to the oven slightly out. You will feel a slight click. Could now set temperture for probe. Also make sure the probe that inserts into the meat is far enough into the meat. If not the exposed part of the probe may read the oven temperture and not the meat temperture.

Thank you for the tip to check how deeply I had placed the temperature probe. I pushed it in further and the oven turned back on. You saved the holiday turkey! :-)
