I am trying to get access to the drum belt to loosen it so that I can pull out the drum and replace the drum bearing. The door pivots on the left> Top is off and drum slides are out, but there seems to be no way to get to the belt with out taking the whole frame apart.

You have to reach through the front (once the front is off) between the drum and frame. Push the idler pulley to the right and hook it on to the motor bracket. That will keep the tension off the belt. You may have to take off two screws (one on each side) on the side panel to allow you to flex the sides to get the drum to slide forward. Make note at the way the belt runs around the idler when reassemling.

Thanks for your help. On this model I had to take off the back as well to get access to the pulley. So as a resul the top front and back had to be removed, then the slides, belt and drum just to replace the teflon bearing.

The small white part off the front. Does that need to be removed too? In most of the videos I watched the drum looks like it just comes out too but I think because this dryer is older do I just need to unscrew those bolds in the back of the dryer or leave those in. I'm talking on the inside. Thanks! ::)
