i tried to start the dryer the other day and the motor just made a buzzing sound...and it wouldnt tumble or start up. i got in there and turned the motor by hand for a few rotations...now the motor will buzz for a second but it will start and run and dry. whats wrong with the motor? do i need a new one? is there a quick fix to this?

thank you

Try rotating the drum by hand perhaps it is putting too much of a load on the motor. It should turn fairly easily. I know fairly easily is not much of a description so you may want to try this on a couple other driers to get a feel for it.

Check that the motor is not full of lint.
