I need the rubber end which attaches to the drain hose and fits into the laundry tub. This part allows the dirty water to run out of the laundry tub drain while it allows the suds (which come out of the suds return hose) to remain in the laundy tub for later use. It is black rubber and the larger end fits onto the drain hose while the narrow end fits tightly into the laundry tub drain. I have not been able to find this anywhere, let alone a name or number for it. I would appreciate your help.

Hi Bananaann The problem we have here is that the suds saver is an option on this model and was not present on all models, and so the parts diagrams do not list the components. This is the service manual. http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16000131.pdfThe components are shown on page 3-57 but the manual does not list parts number. You can print out the page, and fax it to APP and other parts suppliers, and take it to your local parts supplier and point out the part you need and maybe they can get it for you.

Thank you for looking into this problem. Unfortunately, having looked at all the pages in the manual, the most relevant picture stops just short of the part I need. The part I am looking for is not part of the washing machine but actually a "funnel" that fits onto the end of the drain hose and I push the drain hose and "end part" into the drain of the laundry tub. I took my old rubber part to a hardware/plumbing store and they said they had never seen anything like it.

Not going to be the bearer of good news but I do know the part you're referring to. It was a Maytag accessory, yrs ago. If memory serves me right they quit carrying it in the early 90's. Sud savers lost their appeal when front loaders came out with their low water usage, although they were great pieces of equipment.

Thank you all for looking into this problem for me. The news is not good, as you say, but at least I know that there are probably no parts like this left anywhere. I love my suds saver machine and would buy one again if I could. Thanks again.
