Good Morning All,
Maytag Model # SAV3655AWW
Serial # 10368919CR
I have developed a small leak in the center of the bottom tub of the washer. I noticed it yesterday during the disch/spin cycle of a large load, enough water leaked out to soak about half a large bath towel. I inspected the bottom compartment while loading water and no leak. Not until the washer starts to spin and or disch the water does it leak small droplets out of the center of the tub directly under teh agitator where the bearing/seal assembly is located. The water seems to drip out and then get flung around the compartment off the transmition/belt. I am not 100% sure if there is a "kit" to fix this or what parts exactly I need to and should order in this case. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks and love the forum for people like muyself that would rather fix the smaller problems than call someone or replace.

Morn, called the order line but they cannot give assistance in parts to order. Does anyone have an idea with this particular washing machine. Thanks in advance

OK thanks a lot for the help. When I called they told me they were unable to offer advise on what parts to buy, all they could do is look with me at the diagram. For assistance I would have to use the forum. I am wondering if I should just buy a new washer or not. Seems as though most fixes aren't quick or easy - hah.
just to update - if all that is the prob is this shaft bearing the cost for parts/tools is exactly $300 plus shipping. If the transmition is causing this problem or an ill fitting tub the cost goes up significantly!
I think I am buying a new washer.

I think a new one is a good idea. A no-frills top loading machine will not cost much more than parts to fix yours, and should give you trouble free washing for years.

Thanks again,
ended up getting another Maytag from lowes, actually a lot of washer out of stock for a few weeks so I bought a Maytag MHWE300VW - it is in stock and delivering tomorrow. After a day of looking at consumer reports and diff review sites I gave up and just got this. Hope it lasts a while.
