Within past two months the hot water fill has decreased to a mere dribble if that. Cleared filter screens inside hot (and cold ) inlet hoses from faucets but did not resolve. Possible problem with water mixing valve? If so, any advice re accessing the valve, ie., is it necessary to somehow detach the rear panel of the machine? Note that have checked the hot water hose and there is free water flow. Thnx.

Check the screen in the inlet valve itself it may be plugged, "do not try to remove it".
Use a brush to reach in and clean the screen. You can use
a liquid cleaner on it if you like. Afterward remove the hose from the
faucet it hooks up to. Hold a bucket under it and briefly turn on the
water. This is to flush the water line. Hook everything back up and
test it.

Glen65: Thnx for the feedback. I somewhat misinformed of the steps taken. It was indeed the screen in the hot water inlet valve that was cleared. We then hooked the hose back to the valve, dialed to the hot water indicator, and turned on the machine. The result was a surge of hot water so we thought the problem was resolved, but that lasted only momentarily and the hot water quickly reverted to a mere dribble. Any further thoughts? Incidentally, no problem with the cold water output. Thnx.

Double check and see whether the screen in the valve is restricted
after it slows down. But make sure you flush the hot water line. Take the
hot water hose from the back of the washer, place it in a large bucket
then turn on the water and fill it up, How is the pressure? And is there
any sediment in the bucket? If you get a lot of sediment the line just
may need flushed. If all of that checks ok then most likely the fill valve will need replaced.

Glen65: As suggested, re-checked hot water hose and is OK; replaced the mixer valve; re-assembled the washer and "aha!"--- the problem appears to be resolved. Thanks again for the advice... this is an excellent site.
