my wife reports that the dishwasher is not working, leaves soap inside, apparently seems like insufficient or no water is entering. I know the water is on to the DW, so I would suspect either the filter screen is clogged or the valve/float assembly is not working? I know how to access the main valve and remove to check any filter screen but is there an easy way to determine if the float assembly is working? Is it obvious to the eye if I remove the kick panel?

This is a frigidaire smaller 24" model, mechanical controls.

Joe, I think you managed to figure it all out by yourself. Appparently it was the water intake valve which was faulty, although the screen was also pretty gunked up. Good thing you just looked it up elsewhere and did the work yourself, because no one ever bothered to post anything on this website to help. No wonder you didn't buy the repoar part here either.

Keep up the good work!! :) :)

Joe
