I have the new moter installed. I trun on the dryer it hums and the drum will not turn. If I turn the drum by had to get it started it will turn. Any ideas what is going on????

The first thing I would check is to make sure all of the moving parts move freely.
Disconnect the belt and turn the drum by hand, does it move freely?
Do the same with the idler pulley with the belt disconnected.
Also while you have the belt disconnected see if the motor itself
turns freely by hand. If it doesn't you could have something caught
in the blower assembly.
