Got a Kenmore Elite cold spot fridge. top freezer. Model# 106.74206402 Problem: Freezer does not get cold enough to make ice, freeze meat etc. It does get cold enough to keep milk cold. Bottom get cool but not cold enough for milk. This thing is about 3- 3 1/2 years old. I cleaned out the coils (vacumed and then blew them out with a air compressor. Unplugged it for about 4 hours and tried it again. Same thing. The fan in the freezer does not come on. The coils have ice on them.I have read a ton of post and hate to repost a question that has already been asked but all the post I could find the fan was working. Mine tries to turn but doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced

Thanks Denman, That was the ticket. I checked the power supplied to the fan. 120v. Pulled fan out, replaced with new one. Presto. Thank you so much. You saved me a ton.

Verify to make sure nothing is stuck in the condenser fan and that it spins freely (models with coils on the back won’t have a fan). To do this, unplug the fridge and pull it out. Clean the fan blades and spin the fan by hand to see if it’s stuck. Plug in the fridge and make sure the fan runs when the compressor is running. If the fan doesn’t run, replace it..
