Thanks for your time.This fridge seems to contantly run .It does shutdown to defrost and defrost seems to work okay .I did replace thermastat assy in cool side(right) with same result .I suspect mother board but would like another opinion from you guys..thanks

Getting tech info on GE's is nearly impossible but perhaps the following will help.

I would check the freezer and fresh food section temperatures first.
If they are OK or just a little low then the unit/temp control is working as it should and the problem is one of efficiency.
Possible causes are:
1. Dirty condenser coils under the unit. I clean mine by removing the lower rear cover and the kick plate, rolling the unit to an open doorway and blowing it out with an air compressor. Have also been told a leaf blower also does a good job.
2. The compressor fan is not running.
3. Low freon. This often gives an uneven frost pattern on the evaporator coils. See the example pictures at the bottom of the following page.
