Thank you for your help but what I am looking for is not here, I am looking for the diagram showing the wire connections in the upper part where the timer, selector and start button are there are three wires not connected, a red wire a black wire and a white wire with a black line on it, my boy friend is an electrician so he can do the work we just can't seem to figure out where the wires go there is a bundle of wires in this area all the others are properly connected, please can you tell me what to do? If not let me know I will try calling the whirlpool people and see what can be done, again thank you for your time

I'm sorry I have no other suggestion except for locating the service technicians sheet that is usually inside the dryer cabinet. It may have the wiring diagram you need. If it is not in the cabinet maybe you can request it from Whirlpool. Good luck

I wonder how three wires got loose unless it was done from a previous repair. The wires just don't come loose without some help by someone.

Anyway, if you can find an on-line service manual for a model year very close to yours, the wiring schematics should be similar enough to provide the information you need or enough detail to figure out the rest.
