My dryer runs but does not heat. I'm military and it's been in storage for 3 years. Just got it out and it does not heat. I took back off dryer and wires are attached and looks ok. The blower is working fine and blows strong. Considerd ordering a heating element but wasn't definitely that is the problem> Your help is appreciated.

I am assuming that the dryer runs in all cycles, but that the heating coil just does not heat up.
It can be the coil, but let's check it out so you order only the right parts. You will need an electrical test meter or better yet, a friend with one who will come over and do this for you.
First, with the machine plugged in, make sure you are getting 120v to each side of the connection block. Then unplug the machine and test the thermostats and thermal fuse for continuity. Finally, test the heating coil for continuity and resistance, should be between 10 and 20 ohms.
One of these should solve your problem, and thanks for serving.
