I USED MY OVEN YESTERDAY AND IT WORKED FINE. AFTER USING IT, I TURNED IT OFF AND WENT ON MY MERRY WAY. LATER LAST EVENING I WENT BY THE OVEN AND FELT HEAT FROM IT, AND WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR THE OVEN WAS HOT. THE ELEMENT ON THE BOTTOM WAS GLOWING IN TWO SPOTS (APPARENTLY CRACKED), BUT THE OVEN WAS SHUT OFF!!! I HAD TO TURN OFF THE BREAKER TO SHUT IT DOWN. AFTER IT COOLED, I SEPERATED THE CRACKED ELEMENT AND TURNED THE BREAKER BACK ON FIGURING WITH A BREAK IN THE CIRCUIT, IT WOULD NO LONGER HEAT. WRONG!!!!! WHEN I OPENED THE OVEN DOOR TO CHECK IT, THERE WAS STILL A SPOT GLOWING ON THE ELEMENT. ?????
I HAVE ORDERED A NEW ELEMENT FOR THE OVEN, BUT AM WONDERING WHY IT WAS STILL HEATING AFTER THE OVEN KNOB WAS TURNED TO OFF??
ANYONE HELP???

Most likely the problem caused by the shorted control board.

In order to provide the right part number for the control board I need the complete model number of the unit. The model number you posted is incomplete.

Gene.
