I have an old Tappan, ('91), that won't stay lit. It started a while ago when I would have to pound the bottom drawer to ignite the oven, as long as it had been on for a while and the gas had built. Some one told me I needed a new igniter, so I purchased one with you guys. Since I installed it though, the oven lights, without me hitting the bottom drawer, but it is almost an explosion every time. After about 20-30 minutes of cooking though the oven just shuts down and I am not able to restart it for at least 3 hours. I was next told I needed a sensor, but no one carries them any more. Any suggestions or help would be great.
Thanks,
Carol Smith
