I bought this new 7 years ago. It need a compressor after about 3 years and it looks like it needs another one. I'm leary to keep fixing it but I like the looks of it vs. replacement options. Do I have a lemon? What should I look for in a replacement if thats the way to go.

Thanks

Amana refrigerators had relatively bad reputation for a number of years.

I would replace it with a Whirlpool refrigerator vs replacing the compressor on that one. Try to find a model without computers.
