My icemaker will only dispense crushed ice even when you push the cube button. Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Check the solenoid (#45 on the diagram) for continuity.

Remove the ice bin and the screws secured the auger motor cover (#20). The solenoid is behind the cover. Possible the ice maker has to be removed as well.

Thanks Gene, ordered the part and will put in (attempt) next week, I'll let you know what happens, again thanks for responding, you guys that know this stuff and are willing to share are great.

I did not say that the solenoid is 100% bad. I just do not know without proper testing. It could be something else wrong as well.

I know Gene, but I have to start somewhere, process of elimination. cant hurt , if I have to throw in a couple parts till I find it
