I have a Hotpoint side-by-side, Model HSS25GFPAWW, S/N GF264XXX,
It seemed to run all the time, I pulled it out and found the condenser fan was not running and the compressor was really hot. Pulled the back shroud off and put a box fan back there. looks like everything returned to a normal temp, and the system finally cycled off (it' may have run for two weeks straight, who knows)
Tested the fan wires, +13.9V between red and white, +13.9V between red and yellow. installed a new fan motor, nothing, installed a new motherboard and the fridge didn't even run (Nothing but the lights and water/ice despenser worked)
New control board is a WR55X10942, And i'm gonna have a hell of a time trying to bring it back if it's not the right part (no returns on electrical parts policy)
Please help,

You have the right board for your fridg. Check to make sure you have plugged everything in properly. If ok, you will need to do some checking with a meter.

Forgot to reply with the final fix.
Needed to cut a jumper wire on one of the connectors going to the motherboard, then it ran fine. The wire was identified in the MB install instructions.
