We were just given this nice side by side frig. Was working before we transported it. Laid in Van on left side. when bringing it into house leaned on right side. Put in place at 2:00 pm. Tried to start it 10:00 am next day.
Motor came on but does not cool. unplugged and let rest again overnight, still won't cool. Unit was used 1/2 years, then stored for 3 years, prior to us getting it. So it's really fairly new. Do we just need to wait l;onger for it to settle, or is there a reset button to getit to work? Boyfriend did turn temp nobs from 10 to factory settings. COuld that have been a factor?

If you plugged it in soon after transport, you got the capillary line clogged with oil. Fortunately, a pro can fix fairly easy. I would guess a $200 job.

Just curious, I never heard of a capillary...what's that look like? Is it attached to compressor? Is oil the new freon? Also, do the newer refreigerators without freon take 12 hours to cool? Maybe we just didn't wait long enough.
