saibal Very important. You can not use the microwave without this part. By the way, why it has to be replaced? Gene.

Gene Thank you so much. The antena broke while I was changing the magnatron. Its a jen-nair micro. They do not produce the part any more so I can not buy it from them or couple of retailers I checked. Can glue (superglue the broken pieces? I f I can please tell me how it is installed. If I can not then what can I do?

I never tried it and I never heard someone else did. You can try, looks like it's nothing to loose. The antenna has to be very well balanced. If not it'll never work properly. Let me know how it goes.
Good luck.
Gene.

Thank you Gene. The reason I asked the question was I did not see any thing to which the antenna connects to. There is a shaft going into the cavity from the megatron and then inside the cavity in a circular cutout the antenna was sitting. There was a cover on top. When I opened the cover (don't know why I did!!!) the antenna came out. Please tell me the reassembly steps for the antene. Sorry to bother you. Regards

saibal I'm not too familiar with this model. I may have worked on it, but very long time ago, and unfortunately I do not remember how the antenna is supposed to be mounted. Gene.

 I replaced the Magnatron but I have the same problem. Soon as I put power on I hear a noise and the main fuse blows. What else could be wrong?
