Hi there. We purchased our GE dryer a couple of months ago, and I noticed right away that the lint trap didn't have a real tight fit like other dryers I have had. I clean it before every load, but even under the trap there's lint. There is also lots of lint getting blown outside onto our entryway.
The trap is not bent or broken. If I try to replace it, are there different kinds of lint traps that will fit? Are there types of "universal" lint traps out there if I use the length and width measurements of the opening?

Any info would be very helpful, thank you.

This is not normal. If the dryer is less than a year old, I would recommend to call GE for the warranty service.

Gene.
