Our washing machine (Estate TAWB600EQ1, almost 9 years old) won't autmoatically continue to the drain part of the rinse cycle. (Up to that point it works like a champ.) However, if I manually depress the lid switch for two-three seconds and immediately close the lid, it then finishs the rinse cycle just fine.

Most likely the problem is a bad lid switch.

- New lid switch and step by step instructions on how to replace the lid switch: Part number: AP3100003
Part number: AP3100003

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Estate washer Model TAWB600EQ1

Good luck.
Gene.
