When I start cycle, it fills fine, when done filling it won't agitate, BUT when you let it cycle it will spin dry. I don't get it????

Does the motor run in agitate?

Remove the belt from the tranny pulley and turn the pulley in the agitate direction, if no agitate= bad tranny.
